Silk madrigals in verse

The silk square is given. He goes out into the world.
Which I myself would like, not even now.

The silk square steps out of its frame.
That, yes. When it blows, it connects with others. He wants to connect with people, he is looking for people.
He wants to play. He wants to dance with the wind.

It colors my morning, outlines my day.
In the morning, when all options are still open. He rustles, whispers. He whispers his stories.

But sometimes he just shuts up. He is quiet, he wants to hear my words.

Oh how I would love this silk square. It’s free when it’s not in a frame.

He goes on a wander. Maybe he just needs a few escapes like this.

And he already wants to return to his frame, rest there. Then he doesn’t like me touching him.

Sometimes it’s a bit whimsical, that silk square. When he rests, he wants to come back to me.

He whispers to me, seduces me.

It takes me over, but it can also leave me completely alone.

Sometimes you want to run away. Which is not the limit of his playfulness.

I have to catch him.

I could go astray, this silk square…
