“Observing the landscape is an important part of my day-to-day life. It inspires me with its boundlessness; the internal and external landscape are the cradle of this moment and are also an inspiration of the time to come. I am an architect and in my work I deal with effects of the urban space, as we perceive with all our senses, on how we feel as people. A lot of my work is abroad, which I enjoy, as I get to see the many landscapes of my own self, as well as the self of mother earth that is shared by us all. The wealth of experiences that this intertwining creates is not easily captured; this is what art is usually for, and part of this are also the silk “Whispers of Slovenia”. The silk piece with a motif of the Ljubljana Marshes is currently accompanying me on a business trip to Singapore. Looking and touching the scarf takes me back to this moment, reminding me of the landscape of my birthplace and leading me forward – who knows where?”
